Blinded by Sun While Driving?
Sun strips and ceramic windshield film reduce dangerous glare—so you can see the road clearly during sunrise and sunset commutes.
The Problem
Why Driving Glare Is Dangerous
Morning & Evening Commutes
Low sun angle means you're driving directly into blinding light twice a day.
Dangerous Visibility Loss
Can't see traffic lights, brake lights, or pedestrians when sun is in your eyes.
Eye Strain & Fatigue
Constant squinting causes headaches and fatigue on longer drives.
Visor Limitations
Factory sun visors only cover part of your view and block your sightline.

Common Questions
Driving Glare FAQ
Is windshield tint legal in California?
Full windshield tint is not legal in California, but sun strips (also called eyebrows) are legal if they don't extend below the AS-1 line (typically 4-5 inches from the top). Clear ceramic films that block heat but not light are also legal for the full windshield.
Can window tint really reduce driving glare?
Yes. Even light tint reduces the intensity of incoming light, lessening the 'blinding' effect of direct sun. Sun strips specifically block the sun at low angles during sunrise/sunset commutes—exactly when glare is worst.
Will tint affect my ability to see at night?
Sun strips don't affect your forward view at night because you look through the clear portion of the windshield. Clear ceramic windshield films are nearly invisible and don't impact night visibility. Side window tint may slightly reduce night visibility, so we recommend 35%+ VLT for drivers concerned about night driving.
What percentage tint helps most with glare?
For side windows, 35% VLT provides good glare reduction while maintaining excellent visibility. For a more dramatic glare reduction, 20% is popular. Sun strips are typically 5-15% to effectively block direct sun. We'll recommend the best balance based on your specific concerns.
