New Car FAQ
New Owner Questions
When should I protect my new car?
Ideally before you drive it home, or within the first week. Every mile driven is exposure to UV rays, rock chips, and contaminants. The sooner you protect, the more pristine condition you're preserving. We've had customers bring in cars with damage from just the drive home from the dealership.
Does the dealer's 'protection package' work?
Dealer protection packages are often overpriced for what you get. They typically apply basic sealants that wash off in months. Professional PPF, ceramic coating, and window tinting from a specialty shop provides superior protection at competitive prices—and you get to choose exactly what goes on your car.
What's the best protection combo for a new car?
For most new car owners, we recommend: 1) Ceramic window tinting for heat/UV protection, 2) Front-end PPF for rock chip protection, 3) Ceramic coating for paint protection and easy maintenance. This combination protects the most vulnerable areas while keeping costs reasonable.
Can I add protection later or is it too late?
You can add protection at any time, but earlier is better. If your paint already has chips or swirls, we'll need to do paint correction first (additional cost). Fresh paint is easiest to protect. That said, if your car has some miles on it, protection still makes sense—we just address existing damage first.
